Articulation Agreements

Every College Tech Prep Program of Study links directly to a degree or certificate program at a partner college. Specific details related to transfer requirements and benefits are defined in an articulation agreement:

  • high school and college curriculum options and requirements

  • college admission prerequisites

  • standards for advanced placement, college credit and course by-pass

  • continuing education options


Types of Articulation Agreements
 

No College Credit

Course by-pass allows student to start at a higher level and add advanced and/or broadening courses.

Early sign-up on waiting list and/or a specific number of openings are held for TP students.
   
College Credit Competency mastery certified by secondary technical instructor (typically awarded after completion of pre-determined number of college credits in related TP pathway program)

By-passed courses given credit on college transcript with successful completion of pre-determined number of college credits in related pathway program

Credit awarded through standard college proficiency/challenge exam.

Credit awarded by collaborative testing in high school or college

Credit on transcript at the completion of high school course(s) based on minimum requirements.
   
Dual Enrollment Student enrolls simultaneously in high school and college course through post-secondary enrollment options (PSEO) or college-supported tuition programs.
