Management
College Tech Prep requires collaborative
structures and leadership skills. Consortium
operations involve a maze of interpersonal and
institutional politics to build and sustain the
interest and involvement of each partner or
stakeholder.
The College Tech Prep DACUM is a profile of
consortium job functions, delineating tasks that
ensure consortium collaboration and success. It
was originally developed in 2000 and is
currently being revised using the DACUM
(Developing a Curriculum) process, an
occupational analysis performed by expert
workers who are guided by a trained facilitator.
The DACUM is a useful tool for guiding and
assessing consortium operations and staff
performance, using standard benchmarks. Core
duties include:
-
Administer consortium
-
Manage consortium funding
-
Coordinate curriculum development
-
Assist with program implementation
