Course 2: All Students CAN Succeed


Learning Styles & Teaching to Different Learning Styles

  • Identifying Student Learning Styles

    • Teachers will be able to understand their own learning styles and be able to vary their instructional strategies to meet their students’ learning styles
       

  • Differentiated Instruction

    • Teachers will learn a variety of instructional strategies to reach diverse learners


CTE 21st Century Learning Strategies

  • Inquiry-based Instruction (IBL)

    • Teachers will define IBL and explain the differences between Project Based and Inquiry Based Learning

    • Teachers will learn how to develop a Driving Question to frame the learning unit

    • Teachers will learn how to assess on many levels, student work in an IBL unit
       

  • 21st Century Skill Sets

    • Teachers will learn the most important skill sets students will need to compete in a global economy and how to incorporate this skill training into the curriculum
       

  • Integrated Academics

    • Teachers will learn strategies to reinforce academic competencies
      in their technical coursework


Working with Special Needs Students

  • Teachers will identify and describe the laws governing special needs and CTE/Tech Prep
     

  • Teachers will gain an understanding of instructional strategies for mixed- ability classrooms


Assessments

  • Teachers will identify the pre and post assessments they will administer to determine the level of competencies their students achieve.
     

  • Teachers will identify assessments that will determine student learning of content and application of content.
