College Credit

Tech Prep Academy participants can earn credit for successful academy completion (It is your responsibility to secure credit and arrange for credit to be applied towards your vocational certification/licensure).

Continuing Education Units

• The full Tech Prep Academy has been approved for 48 hours of in-service professional development: Unit I (24 hours); Unit 2 (24 hours).
   

• Letters documenting attendance will be available at the completion of each Unit for Local Professional Development Committees.
   

University Credit

• Six (6) quarter hours of college credit can be earned for completing both units of the Tech Prep Academy with supplemental follow-up work. Each unit completed separately earns three (3) quarter hours of college credit.
   

• Credit is based on participation in the class meetings, completion of on-line course work (24 hours and 10 hours follow-up).
   

• Credit is awarded by the University of Cincinnati through its Economic Center for Education and Research. Click here for details
   

Vocational Certification

To determine whether credit for the Tech Prep Academy can be applied towards vocational certification, contact the institution where you are pursing certification/licensure.
