Ohio College Tech Prep helps students connect school
to high skill, high demand technical employment.
A collaborative network supports programs
that blend college prep academics with technology
career education. Programs are offered in career
centers, high schools and colleges throughout
Ohio.
The unique core of Tech Prep is
the Program of Study (POS)—a sequential course of study that
includes at least two years of high school and
two years of college education. Each pathway
leads to an associate or bachelor’s degree or
postsecondary certification and high tech
employment.
The Ohio initiative is administered by the Ohio
Board of Regents and the Ohio Department of
Education. Funding is sustained by the US
Department of Education, Carl D. Perkins Career
and Technical Education Improvement Act, State
of Ohio and local partners.
